The MASH Test Level 3 (TL3) testing category requires impacts with the following two (2) vehicles:
- 1100kg passenger car travelling at 100km/h.
- 2270kg pick-up truck travelling at 100km/h.
The 1100kg passenger car impact is intended to evaluate the primary concerns of vehicle under-ride, wheel snag, rollover and occupant impact severity.
The 2270kg pick-up truck impact is intended to evaluate vehicle containment and stability. These vehicles with a high-centre-of-gravity present a high rollover risk when compared to smaller vehicles.
